TOPIC: What type of notary seal is required?

What type of notary seal is required? 5 years 1 month ago #1006

The law allows the use of either a rubber stamp or a metal embosser. Either seal must include the phrase, “Notary Public, State of Texas” around a star of five points, your commission name, and your expiration date. The stamp must conform to a certain size and shape and must reproduce legibly when photocopied. When using an embosser, you must darken the raised lettering. This can be done with an impression inker or carbon paper, so it is legible when photocopied. Notary Public Underwriters Agency of Texas offers either seal in several styles, all of which comply with Texas law. If you frequently notarize out-of-state or international documents, you may wish to use the rubber notary stamp for its clarity and the embosser which is readily accepted as the notary standard around the world.
