Texas Notary Bonding with Notary Public Underwriters

Notary Public Underwriters Agency of Texas is a top-notch notary bonding agency focused on serving all of your Texas notary needs! With over 26 years of full-service notary bonding experience, our number one goal is to ensure you are well prepared to perform your duties as a Texas notary public. We offer a wide array of products and services including an interactive online application process, required 4-year notary bond, state approved notary stamps and seals, errors & omissions insurance, online notary education and much more.

New law requires notary seal to contain notary ID number going into effect January 1, 2016. Currently notaries are NOT required by the Texas Secretary of State's office to purchase a new seal with the notary ID number until renewal; however, the State Bar's Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section "REPTL" recommends that you do so to avoid having the legitimacy of future notarizations called into question.  Read more on our Texas Notary Blog.

Our online notary application and payment process makes becoming a notary public or renewing your commission quick and simple – just print, sign and send your forms to us, we’ll take care of the rest! The online application process allows you to customize your notary package including the package notary stamp. Our process allows you to add any additional notary products you desire.

Once we receive your notary public application, it is reviewed and electronically submitted to the State of Texas for fast and secure processing. Your customized stamp and/or seal will be produced and mailed, along with any other products ordered, within 5-7 business days after we receive confirmation of commission from the state. Below are the requirements to become a Texas notary public:

Qualifications to become a Texas notary public:
  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You are a legal resident of the State of Texas.
  • You must disclose a finding of guilt for any crime (other than a class C Misdemeanor) from any jurisdiction regardless whether the case has been appealed. (A criminal conviction is NOT an automatic denial of notary commission.)
  • If you are a non-resident living in an adjoining state and have qualified as a Texas escrow agent, you are eligible for appointment as a Texas notary.

Notary Public Underwriters agency of Texas also offers a line of personalized office products with choices that include personalized address stamps, magnetic badges and name plates. We strive to serve your every notary need, but know that our valued customers have important opinions that they would like to share with our team. We have created a forum area to allow customers and Texas notaries to discuss important industry issues and offer advice on what products and services you would like to see us offer.
